Bearing Drift: “Former 5th District Rep. Denver Riggleman announced today that the Republican Party left him a while back and that he no longer considers himself a Republican, according to CNN where he appeared Sunday on “State of the Union.”
Noting “that he will never run again as a Republican,” Riggleman added that “he now considers himself an independent.” He told CNN he “ ‘made the decision privately a month or two ago’ but was making the formal announcement Sunday that he has left the party.””
