Catalina “Xóchitl” Santiago is a longtime community organizer who was seized by Border Patrol agents at the El Paso airport in early August as she was about to board a domestic flight for work. Santiago remains in an ICE jail even after Immigration Judge Michael Pleters ruled Monday that her DACA status remains valid and that she cannot be deported or moved until federal judges can review her case.”
