Political Wire: “Georgia Republican party chair Josh McKoon sent former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) an open letter demanding that he “cease referring to yourself as a Republican” and said the party would take actions to “protect the Republican brand” from his influence, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
“The one-term former lieutenant governor has long been a vocal Donald Trump critic, but Duncan has more recently emerged as a forceful GOP supporter of Harris. He’s also said he’s open to speaking on her behalf at the Democratic National Convention this month.“”
