William Barber, the original founder of the 2013 movement. He says principled lawmakers must reject\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/story\/nc-senate-to-debate-helene-bill-that-would-strip-executive-branch-powers\/21730329\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a bill passed last week<\/a>\u00a0changing the power structure of state government and giving Republicans control over election administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;&#8221;This bill for the most part doesn&#8217;t have a damn thing to do with disaster relief,&#8221; Barber said, holding up a copy of Senate Bill 382.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This amounts to a political coup against duly elected government officials.
