He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and 21 counts of wanton endangerment, according to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.courier-journal.com\/story\/news\/crime\/2024\/01\/08\/steven-lopez-guilty-in-shooting-of-tyler-gerth-at-louisville-protest\/72148058007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Louisville Courier-Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019s extremely remorseful about what happened,\u201d defense attorney Sheila Seadler said. \u201cHe really is truly sorry. It\u2019s not characteristic of anything in his past.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lopez also agreed to obtain his diploma or GED, complete a vocational program and get treatment as part of the plea agreement, Assistant Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney Ebert Haegele told WDRB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lopez&#8217;s sentencing is on Feb. 13 in Jefferson Circuit Court.
