Johnson recently voted against the city\u2019s nearly $5 billion budget&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox4news.com\/news\/dallas-city-council-approves-budget-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">passed by the city council<\/a>, citing insufficient cuts of the property tax rate, and has supported anti-crime initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s proven to be what we thought he was,\u201d Kardal Coleman, chair of the Dallas County Democratic Party, told The Washington Post. \u201cIt\u2019s an insult to the voters in the city of Dallas, who were sold on a bait and switch.
