NAACP, will lead a new center at the Yale Divinity School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barber announced the creation of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theologyandpolicy.yale.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Center for Public Theology &amp; Public Policy<\/a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RevDrBarber\/status\/1604857327433269250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Twitter post Monday<\/a>, saying it will \u201cprepare a new generation of moral leaders to be active participants in creating a just society.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barber plans to step down from his leadership of Greenleaf\u00a0 Christian Church in Goldsboro, which he has led for 30 years, and begin teaching classes at Yale\u2019s campus in New Haven, Connecticut, beginning with the new semester in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been a pastor &amp; moral activist for 35 yrs,\u201d Barber wrote in a thread of posts. \u201cI want to share what I\u2019ve learned &amp; lead research on the deep connection between theology &amp; just policies.\u201d&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NC Policy Watch: &#8220;Rev.
